  • From a child who is weak and chronically tired to a child who grows up healthy~

    Introduction

The Department of Korean Medicine Pediatrics is a specialized Korean Medicine department that treats pediatric diseases.

We treat various pediatric diseases such as rhinitis, sinusitis, anorexia, atopic dermatitis, and enuresis, as well as various problems that children may experience as they grow up, including management of stunted growth, weak children, and examinees. We will always strive for new development with the use of traditional Korean medicine knowledge, and take the lead in the treatment of pediatric diseases based on research results accumulated over a long period of time.

The most distinctive feature of children is their growth and development. In this period, even a small disease is easy to damage. In particular, as recently there has been a lot of reduced outdoor activity, a decrease in the amount of activity and exposure to sunlight can negatively affect children's health.

One of the herbal remedies that is helpful for children who are usually weak and often tired is ‘tonifying and replenishing medicinal(補藥)’. It is literally a medicinal that makes up for what is lacking. As one of the eight method of treatment, the body's vitality is reinforced by using the tonifying method (補法). This is a treatment that prevents health deterioration factors and prevents diseases in advance by making the body strong.

After birth, around 1 year of age, immunity from the mother is depleted. Therefore, it is recommended to use gwiryong-tang to prevent colds. Until the age of two, the growth is the most vigorous in life, so to induce growth, a tonifying and replenishing medicinal is used to protect the spleen-stomach and kidneys.

Around the age of 6 years old, to strengthen the physical strength of school-age children and to increase concentration, a tonifying and replenishing medicinal that nourishes the qi and stomach is helpful.
Puberty at the age of 10 for girls and 12 for boys is the second developmental radical. It is recommended to nourish the blood (血) and liver-kidney (肝腎) to help growth.

Although middle and high school students are in the process of growing up, they may have problems with their studies due to poor stamina and concentration due to lack of sleep and exercise. In this case, the spleen-stomach, liver, and kidneys must be fed at the same time along with the blood

If you frequently get sick with a cold, or if you have poor appetite or growth, or if you suffer from allergic diseases, tonifying and replenishing medicinal are helpful for your child's health.
