Radiology

  • Precise image reading through state-of-the-art equipment

    Introduction

The Department of Radiology conducts and reads various tests such as simple x-ray, ultrasound, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and angiography to accurately diagnose diseases. And by providing medical advice, we contribute to the establishment of an appropriate treatment plan tailored to the patient.
In some cases, patients are directly treated by performing imaging technique-guided biopsy and non-surgical treatment (cerebral aneurysm embolization, hepatic artery embolization, radiofrequency ablation for liver and kidney cancer, and metal stent implantation for arteriosclerosis of the extremities, etc.).
Optimal treatment is provided through follow-up management of patients undergoing non-surgical treatment under the guidance of imaging techniques and cooperation with internal medicine and surgery.

The Department of Radiology at Kyung Hee University Hospital is dedicated to education, research, and treatment by dividing it into sub-specialized treatment areas: abdominal urology radiology, chest radiology, nerve head and neck radiology, musculoskeletal radiology, cardiovascular and intervention radiology, and breast and thyroid radiology. . In addition, by opening a therapeutic imaging clinic, we are in charge of non-surgical interventions such as vascular embolization and abscess drainage.

Every year, SCI/SCIE-level domestic and foreign academic journals and various academic conferences present papers in specific fields, and active research activities are conducted by academic members and executives, and receive excellent academic awards.
